On a recent shoot, I had to work around a coffee table that really stood out, and not in a good way. Of course, this is my opinion, glass tables like this have completely lost my interest. I’m feeling they’ve become dated and appear to cheapen the interior decor. If investing in a coffee table or end tables I believe that solid wood has a much longer life span in the arena of aesthetics. If you’re picking a glass table, it should be surrounded by a modern interior. Additionally, when staging a flat surface, I find more than 3 items to become clutter. When I removed the bowls, the candles + plate appeared to float. I’m sure there was something that I could have done to arrange them better, but wanted to share this with my clients and viewers to keep an eye out for these pesky tables.
Here’s a recent newly constructed home I was hired to photograph. I had some spare time and decided to make a video.
I photograph a lot of real estate as a commercial photographer and I love it. It's a fantastic way to meet new people and love the time to work at becoming an even better photographer each time. I really liked this well designed home and the extrodinary views that it offered.
